The original Somnia Tarot is a hauntingly beautiful rendition of the Rider Waite Smith imagery captured by photography in a range of bleak landscapes; faces obscured to add to the otherworldly feeling. This version, the Somnia Tarot Illustrated brings in more colour and Jungian symbolism, and of course offers the same pristine production values of its sister edition.
The Somnia Tarot was created by artist Nicholas Bruno, who used his art to explore the experience of nightmares and terrors, and encapsulate the universal feeling of unease during pandemic times, when it was completed.
